Hammertown Barn is a real salvation for me when I've been out in the field for too long up at the farm. Sometimes a girl just needs to go shopping! Fortunately I can hop off the tractor and be looking at lovely housewares in under five minutes thanks to Joan and her fantastic shop.

I took this photo in the summer before the economy collapsed. I noticed that this insane billboard is down, replaced with a mini-storage ad. How perfect.

Finally....

People all over the world are cheering our new President Elect. What a dramatic difference it will be to feel inspired by a political leader instead of demoralized and embarrassed. The Bush administration was so inhumane and consequently un-American that it created a global anti-wave of ill will and profound separation. It feels like we are rejoining the earth as joyous participants again. Cheers!

Ok, so this is excellent. Dogs are great because they will let you put this costume on them. My cats would have it shredded into a thousand bits.
